Q

(Checked Limitations) What are the limitations for tripped circuit breakers?

A
  • A tripped circuit breaker may only be reset once. Allow approximately two minutes for cooling before resetting. An in-flight reset should only be accomplished if in the judgment of the Captain, regaining use of that system is critical to the safe conduct of flight.
  • Flight Crews MUST NOT reset tripped fuel quantity, fuel pump, or fuel pump control circuit breakers.
  • The Flight Deck Crew should not cycle (pull and reset) a circuit breaker at any time unless the cycle meets one or more of the following criteria (• directed by the QRH, • directed by a procedure listed in the B737 AOM, FOM, MEL or Operations Binder, • coordinated and approved by MX)
  • IN FLIGHT - The in-flight reset if a tripped circuit breaker should only be accomplished when directed by the QRH. Allow approximately 2 minutes for cooling before resetting.

19
Q

(Checked Limitations) What is the limitation on operating the radar?

A

Do not operate the WX Radar during fueling, near fuel spills, or near people.

20
Q

(Checked Limitations) What are the Engine limitations for cool down after landing?

A

NG - Operate Engines at or near idle for a MINIMUM of ONE minute prior to shutdown (recommend THREE minutes prior to shutdown)

MAX - Operate Engines at or near idle for a MINIMUM of THREE minutes prior to shutdown.

21
Q

(Checked Limitations) What Is the limitation for operating on one generator on the ground?

A

NG - Limit one Generator Operation (Engine Driven) to a Maximum of 215 Amps.

22
Q

(Checked Limitations) You are ready for takeoff, you have 1500 pounds of fuel in the center tank, what position should your center fuel pump switches be in?

A

They should both be ON.

23
Q

(Checked Limitations) What is the limitation on the Alternate Flaps?

A

Alternate Flap duty cycle in flight is one complete cycle, then 5 minutes OFF (a complete duty cycle is movement from position 0 to 15 and back to 0). The alternate flap switch MUST be in the OFF position for 15 seconds before reversing the direction of flap movement.

24
Q

(Checked Limitations) What is the maximum altitude for operating the APU ELECTRIC ONLY?

A

FL 410

25
Q

(Checked Limitations) What is the EGT limitation for Ground Start?

A

NG - 725 degrees C
MAX - Redline

(The EEC does not supply RED LINE protection, but will shut the engine down if it senses an impending hot start)

26
Q

(Checked Limitations) After starting, what are the limitations for Engine stabilization?

A

Operate Engines at or near IDLE, after rollback for a MINIMUM of TWO minutes (NG) or THREE minutes (MAX) prior to applying takeoff thrust.

(RECOMMENDATION: On the First Flight of the Day; operate engines at or near idle, after rollback, for minimum of FIVE minutes prior to applying takeoff thrust)

27
Q

(Checked Limitations) What are the Fuel Distribution limitations?

A
  • Main (wing) tanks must be full if the Center Tank quantity is greater than 1000 pounds.
  • Use Center Tank to depletion followed by wing tank fuel.
  • 1000 pounds may be retained in the center tank provided the effects of balance have been considered.
  • Center Tank Fuel Pumps must be ON for all operations with more than 1000 pounds of fuel in the center tank (Some MEL items can override this limitation).
28
Q

(Checked Limitations) What is the limitation for a Circle to Land Approach Maneuver?

A

WX minimums are 1000 ft. ceiling and 3 miles visibility. BOTH ceiling and visibility criteria are required. If the Jeppesen approach chart specifies minimums higher than 1000/3, now those higher minimums are required to execute the circle to land approach maneuver.

(Use a Minimum Descent Altitude (MDA) of 1000 ft. above airport elevation unless restricted to a higher altitude in the Circle to Land minimums section on the approach chart)

29
Q

(Checked Limitations) What us the Maximum Operating Pressure Altitude of the B-737?

A
