Instructor: How should the implant be secured in place, and what are the recommended sutures for this step?
A
Trainee: The implant should be secured by suturing all four suturing holes in situ using non-absorbable, braided 2-0 sutures. The recommended sutures are Ethicon Ethibond RB-1 (17mm, 1/2c) or, alternatively, synthetic suture ‘Ti-Cron’ by Covidien

Instructor: How do you suture the Genio IS to the genioglossus?
A
Trainee: I gently retract the IS for better visualization, take a strong bite of the genioglossus, and secure it with at least five knots to ensure stability.
