Q

Properties of ideal suture

A

Properties of an Ideal suture: An ideal suture should be
-Sterile
-Should be inert
-Should not affect tensile strength of wound -Should make a good knot
-Absence of wick phenomenon
-Maintains itstensile strength indefinitely -Should disappear as soon as its function is finished
*There is currently no material that fulfills all these requirements
