what does EPC and BREEAM stand for?
energy performance certificate, and building research establishment environmental assessment methodology
how would epc and breeam affect property valuations?
the higher the epc rating and the better the breeam rating is, will likely boost up the property value as it saves energy and increase marketability
what is MEES?
minimum energy efficiency standards (MEES) effective in 2018,prohibits properties with energy ratings below E from letting out
how do you quantify EPC and BREEAM?
if the epc rating is high, i can apply a green premium to the property value, if the epc rating is poor, a brown discount can be applied and lower the property value.
what does epc measure?
the energy efficiency of the bulding, the main thing in the report includes the estimated energy costs, buildings impact on environmetn in terms of Carbon dioxide emission
what does breeam measure?
a few main things that it measures are energy use, water consumption and management in the building, waste managament and building materials
what is the rating on BREEAM?
outstanidng, excellent, very good, good, pass, unclassified
benefits of breeam certified building?
lower running costs, increase marketability to tennats
