What does Fairtrade do?
Set social, economic and environmental standards that both companies and farmers and workers must adhere to.
Protection of workers’ rights and the environment.
Companies pay no less than the Fairtrade Minimum Price for a commodity and payment of the additional Fairtrade Premium to the farming co-operatives, who use the Premium to invest in essential projects of their own choice (eg schools, training programmes, reforestation projects)
