all the processes of the mind which are not available to consciousness.
Automatism
technique first used by Surrealist painters and poets to express the creative force of the unconscious in art.
Biomorphic Abstraction
an art movement that began in the 20th century. It patterns artistic design elements on naturally occurring patterns or shapes reminiscent of nature. Taken to its extreme it attempts to force naturally occurring shapes onto functional devices, often with mixed results.
Free Association
spontaneous, logically unconstrained and undirected association of ideas, emotions, and feelings.
