Noveau Réalisme
(New Realism) a term used to describe a trend away from abstract expressionism toward a subjective expressionism focusing on true-to-life forms, the factual, and easily evident forms.
Gutai
Japanese vanguard group of artists that focused their work on the incorporation of the artist body in work and the performance side of work. They explored freedom in art after WWII.
shaman
A person having access to, and influence in, the world of spirits.
Fluxus
an anti-commercialism, do it yourself aesthetically driven art movement that preferred simplicity over complexity and was intermediary; similar to Dada artists but differed in its richer set of aspirations, and the positive social and communitarian aspirations.
