Were sinners
What does ‘و قالت امرأة فرعون’ mean?
And said the wife of Pharaoh
What does ‘قرة عينٍ لي و لك’ mean?
A comfort of the eye for me and for you
What does ‘لا تقتلوه’ mean?
Do not kill him
What does ‘عسى أن ينفعنا’ mean?
Perhaps he will benefit us
What does ‘أو نتخذه ولداً’ mean?
Or we adopt him as a son
What does ‘و هم لا يشعرون’ mean?
And they did not perceive
What does ‘و أصبح فؤاد أم موسى فارغاً’ mean?
And became the heart of the mother of Moses empty

Indeed she was about to disclose about him

Had We not strengthened her heart

That she might be of the believers
