وَ
and
قَالَتْ
she said
لِأُخْتِهِ
to his sister
قُصِّيهِ
follow him
فَبَصُرَتْ
so she watched
بِهِ
him
عَنْ
from
جُنُبٍ
a distance
وَهُمْ
while they
لَا
did not
يَشْعُرُونَ
perceive
وَحَرَّمْنَا
and We had forbidden
عَلَيْهِ
upon him
ٱلْمَرَاضِعَ
the wet nurses
مِن
from
قَبْلُ
before
فَقَالَتْ
so she said
هَلْ
shall
أَدُلُّكُمْ
I direct you
عَلَىٰ
to
أَهْلِ
a people
بَيْتٍ
of a household
يَكْفُلُونَهُ
who will take care of him
لَكُمْ
for you
وَهُمْ
and they
لَهُ
for him
نَاصِحُونَ
are sincere
فَرَدَدْنَـٰهُ
so We returned him
إِلَىٰٓ
to
أُمِّهِ
his mother
كَيْ
so that
تَقَرَّ
be comforted
عَيْنُهَا
her eye
وَلَا
and not
تَحْزَنَ
grieve
وَلِتَعْلَمَ
and so that she knows
أَنَّ
that
وَعْدَ
promise
ٱللَّهِ
of Allah
حَقٌّ
is true
وَلَـٰكِنَّ
but
أَكْثَرَهُمْ
most of them
لَا
do not
يَعْلَمُونَ
know
وَلَمَّا
and when
بَلَغَ
he reached
أَشُدَّهُ
his full strength
وَٱسْتَوَىٰ
and maturity
ءَاتَيْنَـٰهُ
We gave him
حُكْمًا
wisdom
وَعِلْمًا
and knowledge
وَكَذَٰلِكَ
and thus
نَجْزِي
We reward
ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
the good-doers
وَدَخَلَ
and he entered
ٱلْمَدِينَةَ
the city
عَلَىٰ
at
حِينِ
a time
غَفْلَةٍ
of inattention
مِّنْ
from
أَهْلِهَا
its people
فَوَجَدَ
and he found
فِيهَا
in it
رَجُلَيْنِ
two men
يَقْتَتِلَانِ
fighting
هَـٰذَا
this one
شِيعَتِهِ
his group
وَهَـٰذَا
and this one
مِنْ
from
عَدُوِّهِۦ
his enemy
فَٱسْتَغَاثَهُ
so he called him for help
ٱلَّذِى
the one who
عَلَى
against
فَوَكَزَهُ
so he struck him
مُوسَىٰ
Musa
فَقَضَىٰ
and he finished (killed)
عَلَيْهِ
him
قَالَ
he said
هَـٰذَا
this is
عَمَلِ
the work
ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنِ
of Satan
إِنَّهُۥ
indeed he
عَدُوٌّ
is an enemy
مُّضِلٌّ
misleading
مُّبِينٌ
clear
رَبِّ
my Lord
إِنِّى
indeed I
ظَلَمْتُ
have wronged
نَفْسِى
myself
فَٱغْفِرْ
so forgive
لِى
me
فَغَفَرَ
then He forgave
لَهُۥٓ
him
إِنَّهُۥ
indeed He
هُوَ
He
ٱلْغَفُورُ
the Most Forgiving
ٱلرَّحِيمُ
the Most Merciful
بِمَآ
because
أَنْعَمْتَ
You have favored
عَلَىَّ
upon me
فَلَنْ
so never
أَكُونَ
will I be
ظَهِيرًا
a supporter
لِّلْمُجْرِمِينَ
of the criminals
