a people

بَيْتٍ

of a household

يَكْفُلُونَهُ

who will take care of him

لَكُمْ

for you

وَهُمْ
and they

لَهُ
for him

نَاصِحُونَ
are sincere

فَرَدَدْنَـٰهُ
so We returned him

إِلَىٰٓ
to

أُمِّهِ
his mother

كَيْ
so that

تَقَرَّ
be comforted

عَيْنُهَا
her eye
34
وَلَا
and not
35
تَحْزَنَ
grieve
36
وَلِتَعْلَمَ
and so that she knows
37
أَنَّ
that
38
وَعْدَ
promise
39
ٱللَّهِ
of Allah
40
حَقٌّ
is true
41
وَلَـٰكِنَّ
but
42
أَكْثَرَهُمْ
most of them
43
لَا
do not
44
يَعْلَمُونَ
know
45
وَلَمَّا
and when
46
بَلَغَ
he reached
47
أَشُدَّهُ
his full strength
48
وَٱسْتَوَىٰ
and maturity
49
ءَاتَيْنَـٰهُ
We gave him
50
حُكْمًا
wisdom
51
وَعِلْمًا
and knowledge
52
وَكَذَٰلِكَ
and thus

نَجْزِي
We reward
54
ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
the good-doers
55
وَدَخَلَ
and he entered
56
ٱلْمَدِينَةَ
the city
57
عَلَىٰ
at
58
حِينِ
a time
59
غَفْلَةٍ
of inattention
60
مِّنْ
from
61
أَهْلِهَا
its people
62
فَوَجَدَ
and he found
63
فِيهَا
in it
64
رَجُلَيْنِ
two men
65
يَقْتَتِلَانِ
fighting
66
هَـٰذَا
this one
67
شِيعَتِهِ
his group
68
وَهَـٰذَا
and this one

مِنْ
from
70
عَدُوِّهِۦ
his enemy
71
فَٱسْتَغَاثَهُ
so he called him for help
72
ٱلَّذِى
the one who
73
عَلَى
against
74
فَوَكَزَهُ
so he struck him
75
مُوسَىٰ
Musa
76
فَقَضَىٰ
and he finished (killed)

عَلَيْهِ
him

قَالَ
he said

هَـٰذَا
this is

عَمَلِ
the work
81
ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنِ
of Satan
82
إِنَّهُۥ
indeed he
83
عَدُوٌّ
is an enemy
84
مُّضِلٌّ
misleading
85
مُّبِينٌ
clear
86
رَبِّ
my Lord
87
إِنِّى
indeed I
88
ظَلَمْتُ
have wronged
89
نَفْسِى
myself
90
فَٱغْفِرْ
so forgive
91
لِى
me
92
فَغَفَرَ
then He forgave
93
لَهُۥٓ
him
94
إِنَّهُۥ
indeed He
95
هُوَ
He
96
ٱلْغَفُورُ
the Most Forgiving
97
ٱلرَّحِيمُ
the Most Merciful

بِمَآ
because

أَنْعَمْتَ
You have favored

عَلَىَّ
upon me
101
فَلَنْ
so never
102
أَكُونَ
will I be
103
ظَهِيرًا
a supporter
104
لِّلْمُجْرِمِينَ
of the criminals
