Reason for this surah’s revelation (Surah IKHLAS)

A

1.Hazadrat Abdullah Ibn Masood has reported that the Quraysh said to the prophet (S) ‘‘Tell us of the ancestry of your Lord’’ Then this surah was revealed

  1. Ibn Abbas reports: that a group of Jews came before the prophet and said: ‘‘O’ Muhammad tell us of the attributes of your Lord, who has sent you as a prophet’’. Then this Surah was revealed
  2. Ibn Abbas reports that a group of Christians visited the prophet (s) and said ‘‘O’ Muhammad tell us what is your Lord like and of what substance he is made of’’ The prophet (s) replied ‘’ My lord is not made from any substance he is unique and above everything’’ Then Allah sent down this surah

Rewards of reading Surah ikhlas

A
  1. Abu Saeed Al-Khudri narrated: A man heard another man reciting surah Al-Ikhlas repeatedly he went to the prophet (s) and informed him alone was not enough the prophet (s) replied ‘‘By him in who’s hand my life is, it is equal to 1/3 of a Quran’’
  2. Narrated by Tirmidhi: Say surah Ikhlas and Mu’awwidhafayn 3 times in the morning and the evening as they will suffice you from anything
  3. Reciting surah Ikhlas is believed to be the means of earning Allah’s love and paradise . It also gets rid of poverty and increases substances are constant recitation of this surah makes a person worthy of having angel Jibril participates in his/ hers Janazah

what does the word ikhlas mean?

A

the term mean sincerity, it also gives the meaning of removing everyone else besides Allah from worship and serving only him. It means to purify one’s heart

    When allah say KUL s directly addressing the. Prophet (s) indicating that is Allah’s porphet. And messenger
    Both the arbic tems ‘ahad’ & “w ahad” which are translated as one are used to refer to allah however the word “ahad’”as used to sho that Allah has al the qualitie of perfetion and that he is beyond design and resemlance.
    That Allah is not made of anyseperat elements nor those he have any partcles

A

He doesn’t have parents or children. This ayat talks about his heritage
