A
pain
refusal to move elbow

what are the signs?
A
gross deformity, swelling, ecchymosis
limited active elbow motion
neuro exam - brachial artery, median nerve

what investigations are used?
A
x-ray - AP and lateral

what will x-ray show?
A
posterior fat pad sign
assess humerocapitellar alignment

what is the management?
A
conservative -cast immobilisation
surgical - closed/open reduction and percutaneous pinning
