What is meant by supraclavicular ?
A
The clavicle divides the brachial plexus into a superior and inferior portion. The superior portion is called the supraclavicular branches

Where do the branches of the supraclavicular portion arise from ?
A
They arise from the roots (rami) and superior trunk of the brachial plexus

What are the names of the supraclavicular branches
A
1.Dorsal scapular (C5): innervates levator scapulae
- Subclavian nerve (C5-C6): innervates the subclavius muscle
- Suprascapular (C5-C6): innervates the supraspinatus and infraspinatus muscles of the rotator cuff
- Long thoracic nerve (C5-C7): innervates the serratus anterior
