(Flight Instrument Tolerances)

On Ground:

  • PFD 1 or 2 at Ground Check: +/- 25 Ft
  • Standby Alti. at Ground Check: +/- 300 Ft

(Standby Alti. is Not Excited on Ground)

  • PFD to Airport Elevation at Ground Check: +/- 75 Ft

Complete Alignment is Required:

  • Before the First Flight of the Day
  • When there is a Crew Change
  • When NO GPS Avl and NAVAIDS En-Route Coverage is

Poor or Expected Flight Time is > 3 H

Fast Alignment is Required When:

  • Deviation of IRS Pos. from the FMGC Pos. is ≥ 5 NM

DO NOT ALIGN IRS During ENG Start or With ENG Running.
