24
Q

antibody in microscopic polyangitis?

A

p-anca against myeloperoxidase

25
chronic urticaria
26
what type of hypersenstiivty reaction is serum sickness?
type 3 reaction to proteins in antiserum (penicillin)
27
what type of hypersensitivity is polyarteritis nodosa?
type 3 - antibodies against HepB and HepC virus antigens ROSARY SIGN, high esr, high wcc
28
Features of SLE
SOAP BRAIN MD
29
antibodes in SLE
anti-dsDNA anti ro anti la anti sm anti u1rnp
30
give some examples of type 4 hypersensitivity reacions
1. type 1 diabetes 2. multiple sclerosis 3. rheumatoid arthritis - also type 2 and type 3 4. contact dermatitis 5. mantoux test 6. crohn's disease
31
what is the type 4 hypersensitivity involved in rheumatoid arthritis?
antigen is in the synovial membrane
32
antibodies in rhematoid arthritis
anti ccp- more specific rheumatoid factor - sensitive but not specifi c ((also- raised ESR and raised CRP unlike SLE with isolated raised ESR)
33
wha
34
what type of hypersensitivity reaction is crohn's disease
type 4
35
antibodies in crest syndrome vs diffuse cutaneous scleroderma
crest syndrome: anti centromere diffuse cutaneous: anti scl70, anti rna pol 1, 2, 3
36
skin involvement in crest syndrome vs diffuse cutaneous
crest syndrome: only up to forearms+ perioral diffuse cutaneous: more diffuse involvement
37
what test tests for tear rpdocution?
schirmer test - for sjogren's (reduced)
38
antibodies in sjogren's syndrome
anti ro anti la
39
antibodies in coeliac disease
anti ema anti ttg 0 95% specific, 90-94% sensitive anti gliadin
40
Antiphospholipid Syndrome | (Hugh’s Syndrome)
anti cardiolipin antibody lupus anticoagulant
41
autoimmune hepatitis antibody
anti smooth muscle anyibody anti liver kidney microsomal 1 anti soluble liver antigen
42
antibody in autoimmune haemolytic anaemia
Anti-Rh Blood Group Antigen
43
antibody in Autoimmune Thrombocytopenic Purpura
Anti-Glycoprotein IIb-IIIa or Ib-IX Antibody
44
dermatitis herpetiformis antibody
anti EMA
45
antibody in demratomyosits
anti jo 1
46
hashimotors Ab
anti thyroglobulin anti thyroid peroxidase
47
mixed connective tissue disease
Anti-U1RNP antibody (speckled pattern)
48
49
polymyositis antibody
anti jo 1
50
PBC antibody
anti mitochondrial antibody
51
what type of immunofluorescence in sjogrens?
speckled
52
fluorescence pattern in sle
anti dsDNA: homogenous anti ro and anti la: speckled \*\*so it depends on which antibodye syou have
53
What are the two types of ANA and what are their immunofluorescence patterns?
• Anti-dsDNA – homogenous staining pattern, they are highly specific for SLE and high titres are associated with severe disease (useful for disease monitoring) ## Footnote • Anti-ENA4 (extractable nuclear antigens such as ribonucleoproteins (e.g. Ro, La, Sm)) - speckled immunofluorescence
54
antibodues in type 1 diabetes mellitus
anti glutamic acid decarboxylase anti islet cell antibodies
