what is the importance of limbic system
limbic system is important because it is the part that regulates emotion (like sadness, hapiness, anger, fear) memory and behavior. it is like the “emotional center of the brain”. In emotion it act as a trigger for response, in memory it is important for forming meories and storaging it, also in remembering and learning base from our past experience. When it comes to behavior the limbic system influence our actions and drives and further gives us motivations for simple activities
what will happen if the corpus collosum is severed
if corpus collosum is severed the two hemisphere (left and right) cannot exchange information directly. affecting the functions of both hemisphere given that there are many activities where they function contralaterally. Moreover there will be a significant challenges in complex activities where both hemisphere should work like tying shoelaces or playing a guitar
what will happen if the amygdala is damaged?
if the amygdala is damaged there will be a problem in emotional processing. the most evident is the lack of fear response wherein you will not feel any fear even in dangerous situation which can be risky for your safety. it can also affect emotional related responses like Interpret social cues and recognition of emotions of other people
what is the importance of sensory integration to our behavior?
sensory integration is important to our behavior as it will guide our behavior. The senses like (sight, sound, hearing) guides us on how we adopt our behavior, how we react, socialize, communicate and be prepared to changing environment. Also it is important for decision making and how we will response to different situations
