- Feelings of responsibility
- Current pregnancy
- Religious and cultural beliefs
- Overall satisfaction with life
- presence of adequate social support
- effective coping and problem solving skills
- access to appropriate medical care

Assess client’s suicide plan:
A
- Do they have a plan?
- How lethal is the plan?
- Can the client describe the plan exactly?
- Does the client have access to the intended method?
- Has the client’s mood changed?- sudden change in mood from sad to happy-> intention to commit suicide

Suicide Precautions:
A
- Initiate 1:1 constant supervision around the clock
- document the clients location, mood, and quotes q15min.
- Remove all potential harmful objects
- Only plastic utensils
- always check clients hands, especially if they are hidden
- do not assign a private room
- Ensure they swallow meds
- Identify if medication are lethal with overdose
