Evaluation

A

Overall the suffragette campaign was the main reason to the greatest extent for some women aging the vote in 1818 because even when the suffragettes were imprisoned for their efforts they still continued to fight by going on hunger strike.
This caused them to be force fed which resulted in them gaining sympathy from the public. Paula Bartley believes that this sympathy gained won them the vote as it shocked the public.
