What deaths must be reported?

A

SCUMBIE

S - Suicide
C - Cause unknown or no doctors certificate issued.
U - Unnatural or violent death
M - Medical or surgical or dental operation or procedure
B - Birth deaths, or deaths from pregnancy
I - Institutional deaths: deaths in a psychiatric hospital, prison, or while in police custody
E - Enactment requires the holding of an inquest
