Why is it important to perform a subjective assessment?
To establish:
* The source of dysfunction
* Contributing factors
* Precautions and contraindications to the
physical examination
* Prognosis of the condition
* How to manage the condition
Establish the SIN of the patient.
Severity relates to the intensity of the symptoms, including subjective pain level.
Irritability can be assessed by establishing the level of activity required to aggravate the symptoms, how severe the symptoms are and how long it then takes for the symptoms to subside
Nature is a broad term relating to the diagnosis, the type of symptoms, personal characteristics/psychosocial factors and red and yellow flags.
