Subaerial processes Flashcards

1
Q

What is freeze-thaw weathering

A

Water repeatedly freezing and melting in cracks in rocks. As it freezes, the water expands by 5-7%. This causes pressure to build around the rock

A

Paddock fish is a shell fish that drills into rocks and are active in chalk areas. Seaweed attaches to rocks and can sway in rough seas, causing erosion
