Wind

A

Coastal energy source. Causes sand to be blown up/along the beach
Sediment transfer by winds occur where there are sand dunes which can provide sediment inputs

Q

Longshore drift

A

Sediment is moved along the beach due to prevailing winds which alter the direction of the wave
This allows sediment to be transported from one section of the coastline to another
