Annual Study Plan

A

Determine dates that are out of your control -
holidays, extra-murals, camps.

Add other dates - Tests, assignment deadlines,
exam dates.

Determine dates over which you have control
- work backwards from test, assignment and
exam dates. Work out how long you will need
to prepare for these - how many hours, how
many days and mark these days. (Don’t forget
to include relaxation breaks and a healthy
sleep schedule)

Q

Creative Skills

A

E.g. A design for a new form of can opener:
Designers were not told to think of the idea of
a “can-opener”, but rather of ideas about
things that open easily - like a banana.

The result is the pull rings that we have on
almost every cooldrink can and on many food
cans.

Q

Assessment

A

Why? To Test your knowledge and provide
feedback to teachers and parents/guardians

Who sets assignments? Your teacher, or another
teacher in the department. This is checked by the
other teachers and the head of subject.

Who marks assignments? Your teacher and then
moderated by another teacher from the subject.

Moderation also takes place at a district level.
