What is stress?
Stress is the body’s natural response to a demand or threat. Stress triggers the body’s “fight or flight”
What are the types of stress?
Stressor: A stressor is a specific event or circumstance that triggers the stress response.
Eustress: Eustress is a positive form of stress that arises from situations perceived as exciting or motivating.
Distress: Distress is the negative form of stress, resulting from situations perceived as harmful or threatening.
What are the different kinds of stressors?
Acute stressors, chronic stressors, environmental stressors, pshycological stressors, and social stessors
Symptoms of Stress (Physical & Emotional):
Physical Symptoms:
- Headaches/migraines, digestive issues, increased heart rate, sleep disturbance
Emotional Symptoms:
- Mood swings, anxiety/depression, emotional exhaustion.
