Depressants: These drugs slow down the central nervous system
Stimulants: These drugs increase activity in the central nervous system.
Hallucinogens: These drugs alter perception, mood, and various cognitive functions.
Difference between Use, Misuse, and Abuse:Use:
Use: The appropriate and intended consumption of a drug.
Misuse: Using a drug for a purpose other than its intended use
Misuse: Using a drug for a purpose other than its intended use
Gateway Drugs – What Are They?
Gateway drugs are substances that, when used, may lead to the use of more dangerous and addictive substances.

How Do Drugs Enter the Bloodstream?
Ingestion, inhaling, and injection
Duration of Alcohol and Cannabis in the System:
Alcohol: Generally, alcohol stays in the bloodstream for about 24 hours.
Cannabis: Stays for a few hours to a few days.
