4 Phases:
1. Pre planning: Reasons for developing a strategic plan, readiness for a plan, stakeholder involvement, ID planning team
- Analysis/Evaluation: Understand the organisation, articulate mission/vision/values, scan the environment and predict developments, analyse critical gaps and reassess the vision
- Implementation/Execution: identify strategic issues determined generic and brand strategy is set long-term objectives formulates short-term objectives and create action plans determine how to communicate the strategic plan to stakeholders
- Monitoring: who monitors implementation, frequency, process for regular reviews
