> Muscle/tendon injury due to over contracting/overlengthening which tears the collagen
typically in 2 joint muscles especially in those with higher % of type 2 fibres
typically in eccentric contractions (deceleration phase)

Management
A
> POLICE (protect, optimally load, ice, compression, elevation) > Mobilisation ASAP > Strength/ loading as tolerated > proprioception > endurance training > surgery (healing time will depend on severity)
