A

  • in this step, the qualified exercise professional should synthesize the results of the assessment, using it to help the client move forward toward making a commitment to change. Help the client to understand the health benefits and risks of their current status and how changes in their physical activity and lifestyle behaviors can be beneficial.

  • Explain how physical activity and exercise can help the client address other lifestyle concerns (e.g., smoking, stress, and sleep).

Indicate the score and check the appropriate box. When providing clients with each rating, use the table to summarize what it means in terms of the associated health benefits.
