Protons - positive charge, in nuclei of atoms
Electrons- negative charge therefore orbiting atoms, can be brushed off on to other atoms to make ions
Unlike charges attract and like charges repel

Have no charge and are inside the nuclei of atoms

Along with protons make up the nucleus of the atom while electrons move around in the space around the nucleus

Only electrons can be transferred to or from an atom

It is called an ion
If an uncharged atom gains electrons makes it a negative ion because the atom then has more electrons than protons
Removing electrons from an uncharged atom makes it positive because the atom has fewer electrons than protons
