What is Electrostatic?
the study of static electricity
What are conductors?
the charges can move easily through conductors
What are insulators?
the charges cannot move easily through insulators
What are semi conductors?
their ability of conductivity is beween conductors and insulators
What is charging with conduction?
with contact between two conductors, electrons from one conductor will transfer to the other conductor
What is charging with induction?
without contacting between two conductors, a negatively charged rod will be brought closer to the neutral conductor, the electrons in the neutral conductor will move down the grounding wire
What is polarization?
it’s the same with induction, except with no grounding wire, so the electrons/protons will simply move to the opposite side and be separated.
What is the equation for electric charge in an object?
Q = n x e
What is the “e” of an object when it loses an electron?
1.6 x 10^-19
