who has squawk and TAS
Lead
Formation engine startup
- after interior inspection and b4 canopy close 1 look for 2’s thumbs up and give him the sunup signal
- 2 will give lead a thumbs up when ready to taxi
Check in times
10 mins for 15
15 min for 33
lead will check in on AUX 1st then Prime
If clearance delivery required
Lead will check Prime on ch 2 and after read back correct 2 will say “2” on AUX
After Overspeed Governor Check and B4 T/O check
give each thumbs up and perform bullseye check
Bullseye Check
On AUX, lead will say
“C/S Bullseye check, 1 radial/ DME” and two will repeat format with info, can say same if within 3 degrees and 1 NM
“Push it up” and “give me one” calls from 2
Push it up means for 1 to go to 95 b/c 2’s gaining
give me one means for 1 to set 85% b/c 2’s falling behind
Interval T/O
- Use max power till out of Traffic pattern, then 85-95% for 1
- Rejoins to fingertip on inside of turn except for 33 is always right side rejoin
- 1 remains VMC till rejoined or must coordinate separation or separate clearances
