explain how interviewers can carry out interviews that follow the correct procedures
- ensuring questions asked are non-discriminatory (people aren’t asked about anything inappropriate), and the same questions are asked to all (to ensure a fair chance for everyone in relation to the questions asked)
- have a mixed/ diverse panel of interviewers (eg race, religion, disabilities) to avoid bias and encourage diversity within the workplace
- training the interviewers (so they know and understand the correct procedures and are aware of the 9 protected characteristics)
