Shoeing Procedure and use of Tools - stages
- Removal of old

- Preparation of new shoe
- Nailing and clenching up
Inspect legs and trot animal to check for injuries and irregularities in movement
Removal of old shoes
- Remove clenches-part of nail using clench cutter
- Loosens shoe with pull offs, starting at heel and work towards toe ( do not bruise sole)
- Old shoe checked for uneven wear, so hoof can be trimmed to compensate or correct
