Manchester magistrates feared a revolution so sent the MANCHESTER YEOMANRY cavalry into the crowd with Sabres resulting in the death of 11 and 400 wounded

Lord Liverpool (the PM) passed the ‘six acts’ and sent 10,000 troops to the area.

Hunt and leaders blamed and sentenced to two years in prison
