SPOT Flashcards
Windshear escape maneuver on landing (Windshear warning active)
- MAX thrust and press TOGA, Disconnect AP
- Follow FD
- No configuration change
- Once PM says WINDSHEAR WARNING GONE, then reduce to climb power, HDG, FLCH, AP, AT, retract gear, climb sequence after takeoff checklist
Windshear escape maneuver on landing (Windshear warning not present)
-Disconnect AP, MAX thrust, press TOGA
-Pitch 20° or PLI
-Maintain configuration
-When at least 1500 AGL and assured clear,
HDG, FLCH, AP, AT, Gear up, Climb sequence after takeoff checklist
Detailed V1 cut procedure cards are in MV deck. For SPOT, what is a basic description of the V1 cut?
- Check thrust (thrust checked)
- (rotate)
- (positive rate) Gear up
- At 400’ Heading, AP on
- At 1,000’, flaps 1…. flaps up…
- Once flaps up and speed Vfs, CONTINUOUS, BANK OFF, QRC _____
- CA assigns duties
- QRH
- 2 in 2 Out
- ABC’s
Upset recovery procedure PF
- Say “UPSET”
- Disconnect AP/AT
- Say “PUSH” (reduce AOA)
- Say “ROLL” (Wings level)
- Say “THRUST” (Add or reduce power)
- Say “STABILIZE”
- Once PM says “green dot”, either reduce power back from MAX to climb, or add power back to maintain airspeed. Call HDG, FLCH, AP, AT.
Upset recovery procedure PM
- Say “UPSET”
- Announce aircraft state and assist PF with recovery
- Say “GREEN DOT” when passing it
- Notify ATC as needed. Consider declaring emergency if required
Unreliable airspeed procedure in cruise
- PF, disconnect AP and AT, just fly the airplane. Set an initial pitch (2°-5° above horizon)and power setting similar to what you were cruising at.
- TEAM model (CA assigns duties)
- QRH “unreliable airspeed”
Unreliable airspeed during takeoff procedure
- AP/AT off
- Set initial pitch of 10°-15°
- Use RA to make sure you’re climbing (climb to at least MSA)
- TEAM model (CA assigns duties)
- QRH “Unreliable airspeed”
EGPWS escape maneuver PF
- AP off
- MAX thrust
- No configuration change
- Pitch 20° or PLI
- Climb to MSA/MORA
- When clear of terrain, reduce to climb power, HDG, FLCH, AP, AT, gear up, climb sequence after takeoff checklist.
EGPWS escape maneuver PM
- Verify actions are taken
- Inform ATC
- FSTN BELTS ON
- Call our RA indications and terrain from MFD
- Advise PF when cleared
RNP discontinuation procedure
- Deselect APP
- Manual speed 165
- Set appropriate altitude and then FLCH
- PM- Sequence missed approach in FMS
- Call “flaps 2, gear up”
- WAIT until passing runway waypoint; then speed up and clean up. (Speed 210 climb sequence after takeoff checklist)
What are the differences between an RNP approach with a RF leg in the final approach segment, versus one without an RF leg in the final approach segment?
With RF: -speed limit is 165 to DA. -Must use discontinue procedure. -CAT D minimums only -Flap 5 only Without RF: -No speed limit -Discontinue procedure optional -CAT D and C minimums authorized -Flaps 5 or Full
Where can you find all the required equipment for an RNP approach?
QRH
Are LPV approaches affected by temp and require a temp comp?
No
If you use temp comp, what must you do?
Advise ATC of what altitudes you’re require at the IAF and MAHP.
When temp comping, where do you find the new minimums?
On last page of temp comp, enter charted MDA. It will give you your new temp compensated MDA.
