Did you play any sports when you were a child?
I used to go swimming every weekend with my mother. I remember racing with my mother in the swimming pool She let me win all the time. Unfortunately, I don’t have time for swimming now but I try to put it in my future schedule.
Do you like playing games?
Yes, I do. I enjoy games especially board games like Uno or Monopoly. My sister is a big fan as well. We play together almost every weekend. We are both very competitive and that is what makes playing more fun.
What other free time activities do you enjoy doing?
Recreational activities help me to gain more energy and work more efficiently and I enjoy doing mind activities such as puzzles and books in my free time They help me to calm down and get my mind off my busy days.
Are you a competitive sportsperson?
In my idea having a Strong desire to win is the best motivation for people to achieve their goals therefore I try to keep my competitive spirit whenever I play sports.
What types of sports are popular among people in your country?
Sports are an essential part of Persian culture. Traditional sports such as weightlifting and wrestling are very common and popular among Iranian people because they represent our country’s history and remind us of our cultural richness.
What leisure activities are popular in your country?
Well, there is a wide variety of recreational activities in my country. However, I think the most popular would be gatherings and family parties. Iranian people always use holidays as an excuse to get together for a celebration or a nice dinner.
What leisure activities will be popular in the future?
I think that recreational activities, which involve the internet, computers, social media, and other kinds of modern technologies, are going to be more popular in the future so I think we should expect more advanced virtual reality and computer games
Describe a sports event you watched or attended.
Although Watching or joining sports events isn’t an interest of mine, I won’t miss any of the World Cup games. Last year’s final match was one of the most intense events in the entire competition. Between four teams that made it to the semi-finals France and Argentina entered the final match. I watched the game on TV and I remember that the stadium was fully packed and thousands of fans showed up to cheer for their favorite team. In the first half, Argentina was taking the by two points and as a France fan, I was so disappointed because my favorite team was about to face defeat but luckily France scored two goals in the last ten minutes. Players were tackling each other to take possession of the ball and The match got extremely exciting in overtime when both teams scored another goal. the game ended in a draw and France was narrowly defeated in penalties. Although my favorite team lost at the end I enjoyed every minute of this game.
