What does the letter S stand for
Specificity- when you train to a specific goal/sport and focus on an area of your body to improve on.
What does the letter P and O stand for
Progressive Overload- when you train our resistance to a state, and when we reach that state, we add more to our training.
What does the letter R (reversibility) stand for
Reversibility - Reversibility is when your physical fitness decreases due to less exercises being done, and when your improvements you have made will be reversed. Prevent by consistent Training.
What does the letter R (recovery) stand for
process when the body tries to restore to the energy loss to help get one back to the stage before the intense exercise
What does T stand for
Tedium- tedium is when the exercise is repetitious and lacking in variety which can decrease motivation. To prevent this, have variety in exercises to keep you interested and give your body a different challenge and to have an individualised training program as everyone is different in needs..
