Spoiler Logic Flashcards
AGS RTO is armed when all of the following are true: (1-1066)
- Aircraft is on the ground (weight on wheels), and
- GND SPLR/LAPES rotary selector switch on the AFCSCP is rotated to the ARM position, and
- The reverse thrust range logic is valid.
On the ground, with the GND SPLR/LAPES switch in the ARM position, the AGS RTO function is automatically armed during a touch and go landing when either of the following events occur: (1-1068)
- The TOGA switch is pressed momentarily, or
- At least three throttle levers are advanced past the preprogrammed threshold (approximately 60 degrees).
- The flap/slat handle is positioned to a new detent.
How is a rejected takeoff sensed by the AGS RTO mode? (1-1070)
At least one left and one right throttle lever being moved into the reverse range… The reverse thrust range is sensed by switches which are actuated when each throttle lever is at a position aft of the lift position, but prior to the reverse idle detent.
The AGS RTO mode is disarmed, and the GND SPLR/LAPES switch returns to Off (dearm) by spring action, when any of the following are true: (1-1072)
- The aircraft is in the air (no weight on wheels), or
- The landing gear handle and nose gear is in the UP position, or
- The AGS RTO mode is disarmed at any time by rotating the switch out of the ARM position, or
- The reverse thrust range logic is invalid
When can the AGS LAND spoilers by armed by rotating the GND SPLR/LAPES switch to the ARM position? (1-1075)
- The aircraft is in the air (no weight on wheels), and
- The landing gear handle or nose gear is in the DOWN position, and
- The on-ground and throttle lever angle logic is valid
When the AGS LAND spoilers are armed, the spoilers are deployed when: (1-1077)
- At least two throttle levers are pulled back to a position of less than 55 degrees, and
- The wheel spin rate of at least two aft main gear wheels is equivalent to a ground speed of 50 knots or more, and the aircraft is on the ground (weight on wheels) or at least two throttle levers are moved into the reverse thrust range with radar altitude less than 7 feet, or
- The aircraft is on the ground (weight on wheels) and either at least two throttle levers are moved into the reverse thrust range or radar altitude is less than 7 feet.
When is DLC mode armed? (1-1085)
Whenever
- The flap/slat handle is positioned past the 1/2 detent, or
- The nose gear is in the DOWN position, in the event the flap/slat handle is declared invalid.
