Spleen Channel Directions Flashcards
Primary Channel
Begins at SP 1, runs along medial aspect of foot along color change border, ascends in front of medial malleolus at SP 5, follows posterior border of tibia up to medial aspect of leg to a point 8 cun superior to the medial malleolus where it crosses the Liver Channel, ascends along the medial aspect of the knee and along the antero-medial aspect of the thing to the lower abdomen where it intersects with CV Channel at Ren 3, Ren 4, and Ren 10 before entering the spleen and connecting with the stomach. Emerges in stomach region and ascends at 4 cun lateral to midline, then 6 cun lateral, pass through GB24, L14, LU 1, descends to terminate in 7th intercostal space at SP 21.
First Branch
Ascends through diaphragm, runs along esophagus and spreads over lower surface of the tongue.
Second Branch
Ascends from the stomach, passes through the diaphragm, and flows to link with the heart.
Luo Connecting
Originates at SP 4, connects with stomach channel, enters abdomen and connects with stomach and intestines
Great Luo
Separates from primary channel at SP 21 on lateral aspect of chest, spreads through chest and lateral costal region, gathering the blood of the Luo-connecting channels of the whole body.
Divergent
Branches from primary channel in middle of anterior thigh, follows ST divergent channel to through where it penetrates the tongue.
