Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura
assoicated with medical reactions, nfections, inflammation, autoimmune disease
LOSS of platelet inhibition- leads to thrombosis and infarction.
SXS: purpura, fever, mental status changes, renal dysfunction, hematuria, hemolytic anemia
TX: plasmapheresis, steroids, ASA
