A

C5-6 fracture of anterior inferior vertebral body.

Severe. unstable. can cause anterior cord syndrome and quadriplegia.

Flexion and compression at C5-6
e.g. diving head first, motor vehicle collision deceleration

Stable in flexion, unstable in extension (anterior longitudinal ligament disrupted)
