What is Corpinnat?
A
It’s a collective EU brand of Catalonian Sparkling Wine registered in 2017 by some of the best former Cava producers in reaction to what was considered an erosion of Cava’s reputation and standards. There are 11 members today (2024).
Corpinnat law:
* Delimited area in Penedès
* Mandatory hand-harvesting
* Organic viticulture
* Strict yield limits
* Wines must be vinified and aged on the winery premises for at least 18 months
