He was the leader and prophet of Islam. He preached and taught his visions through the faith of Islam.
What do Muslims believe about the three monotheistic religions?
They believe that they are all related. “People of The Book”. They believed the prophets were Moses, Jesus, Abraham, and Muhammad.

The five pillars of Islam are belief, prayer, charity, fasting, and pilgrimage(Hajj).

He began receiving visions from the angel Gabriel.

The Kaaba is a box-like structure that is the holiest place of Islam.
How did Muhammad change the Kaaba?
He converted the Kaaba from a polytheistic shrine to the holiest site of Islam.
What is a Hajj?
A Hajj was a pilgrimage to Mecca to visit and pray at the Kaaba.
What is a mosque?
A Mosque is a Muslim place of worship.
What was an effect of the Muslim Conquests?
Islam spread throughout areas of trade. It spread to the continents of Asia, Africa, and Europe.
Describe the Muslim medicine during the Middle ages.
It was more advanced than other areas. They developed ways to advance their medicine. They recorded their findings.
How did Muslim geographers use the Astrolabe?
They used the astrolabe to calculate dimensions and used it to measure the Earth. Found the circumference of the Earth.
How did Muslim geographers preserve the teachings of other cultures?
They translated Greek and Roman scripture into Arabic which spread ideas and teachings.
