Describe the political system
A
- A parliamentary, representative, democratic republic
- President is elected by parliament and is Head of Government of a multi-party system
- Parties gets a certain amount of seats according how many percent of the votes they get

A
- Elementary, secondary and tertiary education
- Most parents have to pay for their child’s education, but low - income families are funded by the government

Describe the healthcare system
A
- Highly unequal and two - tiered healthcare
- Public sector: state - funded and caters to the majority of the population
- Private sector: largely funded through individual contributions to medical aid schemes or health insurance and serves to the minority of the population

A
- It’s made up of many diverse cultures and religions, and is to why the country is called “The rainbow nation”

A
- Most identify as Christians (Northern Cape and Free State has got the highest percentage of Christians in the country)
- South Africa has freedom of religion
