1
Q
Nuclear Reaction
A
Method of electricity production powered by nuclear fision to produce steam (look up entire reaction mechanism)
2
Q
Turbines
A
Uses kinetic energy to turn a series of conductive coils through a magnetic field at high speeds
3
Q
Hydrogen fuel cells
A
Hydrogen gas and a hydroxide solution are supplied to the cell and react, producing water and giving off 4 electrons. These electrons run up the anode, are supplied to the electrical circuit, and re-enter the fuel cell through the cathode where they drive the reaction between oxygen gas and water producing 4OH- ions
4
Q
Thermophotovoltaic cells
A
Use infrared light in the same way a photovoltaic cell uses visible light
