Sopm Flashcards
The E-PBIT is automatically performed when?
FLIGHT CONTROL NO DISPATCH Caution EICAS message?
The E-PBIT is automatically performed when an initial AC source is introduced. Allow the E PBIT to finish before turning on any hydraulic pumps. Interruption of the E - PBIT may result in a FLIGHT CONTROL NO DISPATCH Caution EICAS message.
The H-PBIT is performed when?
The H-PBIT is performed when all three hydraulic systems are pressurized for at least one minute and the reservoir temperature is greater than +10ºC. The H-PBIT is interrupted when any flight control surface is moved while the test is running.
A FLT CTRL BIT EXPIRED EICAS message is displayed when?
A FLT CTRL BIT EXPIRED EICAS message is displayed when the last successful PBIT was more than 50 hours old while the aircraft is on the ground and the EICAS messages are no longer inhibited.
The Hydraulic Systems Warm-Up must be accomplished before starting the engines when reservoir temperatures are below?
-18C
After engine shutdown, the scavenge system is no longer effective. A small amount of oil may leak through the aft sump drain and pool in the engine chevron nozzle.

RIGHT WING TRAILING EDGE Static Dischargers ……………………………………………………………….. NUMBER AND CONDITION
• Verify three static discharges on the aileron and six on the winglet
Static Dischargers ……………………………………………………………….. NUMBER AND CONDITION
•
Verify four static dischargers on the rudder, four on each elevator, and one on the vertical stabilizer
When it is necessary to perform an engine start with tailwind,
monitor N1 indication. When there is no positive increase of N1 indication before starter cutout (50% N2), the engine start must be manually aborted.
It is permissible to takeoff and land with a FUEL IMBALANCE message as long as
the actual imbalance does not exceed 794 lb
Crossfeed fuel limit
Must be off for TO and landing
3 general APU rules
Wait 30 seconds after the EICAS is energized to start the APU.
Do not leave the aircraft unattended more than five minutes with the APU running (SW).
Simultaneous use of the APU bleed and the HP cart is prohibited.
engine start must be manually aborted when:
No positive oil pressure indication within 10 seconds after N2 speed starts to increase
• During engine start with a tailwind, when a positive increase of N1 is not indicated before starter cutout (50% N2). In this case, the airplane is repositioned prior to engine start to minimize tailwind effects.
• No ITT indication within 30 seconds after initiation of fuel flow • ITT exceeds start limit (815°C - Hot) • Oil pressure stabilizes below the engine limits • N1 and/or N2 failing to accelerate to stable idle speed (hung start) • An intermittent electrical pneumatic or starter malfunction occurs before the starter disengagement
Max taxi speeds

In case of an automatic abort due to an engine hot start and with no ENGINE EXCEEDENCE EICAS message
NOTE: In case of an automatic abort due to an engine hot start and with no ENGINE EXCEEDENCE EICAS message, two additional engine starts are allowed.
During ground starts only, the transition of the flight deck START / STOP switch from STOP to START must be?
less than 30 seconds or the FADEC prevents an engine start until the switch is cycled through STOP.
