Note: both FWD and AFT cargo compartments share slow and high rate extinguishers. one can be used for each but one cannot be used for both.

Button illuminates red if fire detected.
In Flight: when pressed triggers both High rate and Low rate extinguishers.

If not illuminated and fire is known:
Requires one push to arm

On ground:
One push to activate high rate extinguisher IF not already illuminated red
One push to activate slow rate extinguisher.

since the fire test button shows APU FIRE , holding for 10 seconds will close the APU SOV

Red bar illuminates after 10 seconds of fire and automatically shuts down APU SOV. 60 seconds later apu fire push light illuminates and doesn’t extinguish. Once shut off is pressed. White bar and red bar shows.

In air. It will not shutdown automatically.
