Q

What is Instrument Currency? Where can I satisfy my requirements? What happens if it lapses?

A

To be considered instrument current, pilots shall have flown a minimum of 2.0 hours of simulated or actual instrument time within the preceding 60 days.

Currency requirements may be satisfied in the aircraft or the simulator.

If currency lapses, it must be regained prior to flying any other missions in the aircraft as the PIC.

Overland:
Populated = 1000’ AGL
Unpopulated = 500’ AGL

Overwater:
Day = 50’ AGL
Unaided Night = 150’ AGL
NVD Night = 100’ AGL

Note
