Role:
Writing letters on behalf of clients
Drafting contracts, leases or other legal documents
Drawing up wills
Dealing with conveyancing
Queens counsel:
After 10 years you can become apart of the queens counsel
The on more complicated and high-profile cases
Complaints process:
For: breach of contract, not paying fees, not advocating properly
Complain in house first before going to the legal ombudsmen and then the solicitors regulation authority (SRA)
Regulation:
Law society, SRA, legal ombudsmen (child)
SRA can refer it to the solicitors disciplinary tribunal who can: strike off solicitors, suspend solicitors, fine solicitors, pay any costs
