What are the SOLAS regulations regarding water tight doors?
- Power-operated from the control point in the wheelhouse, capable of being closed in not more than 60 seconds.
- They should have a uniform closing speed. The time from when the door begins to close should not be less than 20 seconds, or more than 40 seconds.
- When closing by hand, the time necessary for complete closure of the door shall not exceed 90 seconds.
