evaluate, palpate adhesions, MF restrictions
realign collagen fibers, mobilize scar
reduce edema
facilitate circulation and fluid flow
increase ROM (combo with stretching)

A

skin infections; open skin
debilitated skin
arteriosclerosis, thrombosis, embolism, acute phlebitis, cardiac decompensation
severe varicose veins
new tendon transplant in that area
non-union or new fracture
acute inflammatory conditions
cellulitis
synovitis
abscesses
cancer in that area
fever >101
